Will Koi CBD show up on a drug test? Will I test postive for CBD?

Koi CBD uses a natural isolate extraction process to extract CBD from industrial hemp, This is the best way to be sure CBD levels are consistent and remove all trace levels of THC. Most drug tests focus on identifying THC & other mind-altering substances, not CBD. A drug test based solely on identifying CBD would not be an effective law enforcement tool, given that CBD is non-psychoactive and does not cause impairment. Because Koi has no THC (0%) it will not cause you to test positive for THC.

Whats the difference between Natural CBD Isolate vs Full Spectrum CBD?

Natural CBD Isolate Extracts have many distinctive benefits over Plant Based “Full Spectrum” CBD Extracts including purity, legality, consistency, ease of administration and safety. The only way to completely remove the THC from CBD is by utilizing a non-polar hydrocarbon extraction process resulting in a tasteless CBD extract with chromatographic purity of over 99%. Thereby ensuring that it is 100% legal to buy and sell. Natural CBD Isolate Extracts are 100% legal in all 50 states because they contain 0% THC. With Natural CBD Isolate Extracts the amount of CBD will be consistent in every batch. There will be no trace levels of THC, therefore it cannot cause you to fail drug a test. You can be confident in what you’re getting and the lab results can assure you of the purity of the CBD and that it has been tested for, and found to be free of, pesticides, fungal and bacterial contamination and residual solvents. Because it is tasteless, Natural CBD Isolate Extracts can be easily premixed with quality flavorings or used in any way that is preferred by the customer, such as adding to a favored e-juice or taking sublingually. Natural CBD Isolate Extracts are safe to consume in almost any amount, and there are no known side effects.

Plant Based CBD Extract, or “Full Spectrum CBD”, contains other cannabinoids found within the hemp plant which claim to provide added benefits over Natural CBD Isolate Extracts. The major problem with this claim is that it is solely based on a test done back in 2006 called the “Bell Curve Test” which only analyzed Plant Based CBD Extracts against a subpar extraction method used at the time. Since that time advances in extraction methods have proven the bell curve test obsolete. In fact, more current research has proven there is no real advantage to “Full Spectrum” CBD over Natural CBD Isolate. Another important distinction is that “Full Spectrum” CBD has a very strong earthy taste that is nearly impossible to mask with any flavorings. Some companies have done an amazing job attempting to mask the flavor, which is an art in and of itself, however, it’s just not possible to remove it completely. Some people may like the “woodsy earthy taste” so this type of CBD may be for them. Lastly, and probably most importantly, all plant based CBD extracts have some, if only trace amounts, of THC. There is no way to be sure how much THC there is as it varies from batch to batch. This creates a question of legality, states vary from state to state what level of THC is legal to buy and sell. California is legal under 1% while many states have a no THC (0%) policy. There are companies that are selling CBD with THC levels as high as 7.5% claiming they are legal to buy and sell. This is absolutely not true. We believe this misrepresentation of products themselves and their legality is not only bad for the customer but also damaging to business owners that can be fined or worse for selling a product they were told was legal.

All recent research shows that both types of high quality CBD work equally well. To be safe, always do your research on any company you’re considering buying CBD from. Find out where it’s made. Ask for lab results, purity levels, and how consistent the CBD levels are from batch to batch. Most importantly, if you’re concerned about failing a drug test, ask for their THC levels.

What is the Endocannabinoid System? Why is it so important?

The endocannabinoid system, named after the plant that led to its discovery, is perhaps the most important physiologic system involved in establishing and maintaining human health. Endocannabinoids and their receptors are found throughout the body: in the brain, organs, connective tissues, glands, and immune cells. In each tissue, the cannabinoid system performs different tasks, but the goal is always the same: Homeostasis, the maintenance of a stable internal environment despite fluctuations in the external environment.

Cannabinoids promote homeostasis at every level of biological life, from the sub-cellular, to the organism, and perhaps to the community and beyond. Here’s one example: autophagy, a process in which a cell sequesters part of its contents to be self-digested and recycled, is mediated by the cannabinoid system. While this process keeps normal cells alive, allowing them to maintain a balance between the synthesis, degradation, and subsequent recycling of cellular products, it has a deadly effect on malignant tumor cells, causing them to consume themselves in a programmed cellular suicide. The death of cancer cells, of course, promotes homeostasis and survival at the level of the entire organism.

Endocannabinoids and cannabinoids are also found at the intersection of the body’s various systems, allowing communication and coordination between different cell types. At the site of an injury, for example, cannabinoids can be found decreasing the release of activators and sensitizers from the injured tissue, stabilizing the nerve cell to prevent excessive firing, and calming nearby immune cells to prevent release of pro-inflammatory substances. Three different mechanisms of action on three different cell types for a single purpose: minimize the pain and damage caused by the injury.

The endocannabinoid system, with its complex actions in our immune system, nervous system, and all of the body’s organs, is literally a bridge between body and mind. By understanding this system we begin to see a mechanism that explains how states of consciousness can promote health or disease.

In addition to regulating our internal and cellular homeostasis, cannabinoids influence a person’s relationship with the external environment. Socially, the administration of cannabinoids clearly alters human behavior, often promoting sharing, humor, and creativity. By mediating Neurogenesis, neuronal plasticity, and learning, cannabinoids may directly influence a person’s open-mindedness and ability to move beyond limiting patterns of thought and behavior from past situations. Reformatting these old patterns is an essential part of health in our quickly changing environment.

Where should I start? How much should i take?

Everyone’s endocannabinoid system is unique so the level of CBD for each person will be different. Its best to start on a low level and work your way up. There is absolutely no reason to start with the highest level available.
